A Legacy of the Occult and Courage

‘Hell Teacher Nube’ is based on the original manga by Sho Makura and Takeshi Okano, which ran in ‘Weekly Shonen Jump’ from 1993 to 1999. This occult-themed action hero manga captivated readers with its gripping tales and has sold over 29 million copies. The story draws on school ghost stories and urban legends, but at its heart, it chronicles the bravery of an exorcist teacher named Meisuke Nueno, affectionately known as “Nube,” who risks his life to protect his students from the threats of evil spirits and yokai. The tale of Nube’s fearless protection and the blend of horror with heartfelt narrative has ensured its popularity across generations.

Previous Adaptations and Success

The compelling narrative previously inspired a TV anime series that aired from 1996 to 1997. Additionally, it was adapted into several theatrical films and OVA (Original Video Animation) formats, broadening its reach. In 2014, the story was brought to life again through a live-action TV drama starring Ryuhei Maruyama, further cementing its place in the hearts of fans.

Dynamic Themes for an Engaging Experience

The opening theme “P0WER-悪霊退散-” by -Shin Tenchi Kaibyaku Shudan- Zigzag is anticipated to infuse the anime with an energetic and humorous atmosphere, perfectly aligning with Nube’s adventures. On the other hand, “Sunflower” by Chilli Beans. will offer an emotional counterpart to the series, providing a poignant backdrop to the more dramatic moments. The newly released PV cleverly showcases segments of chaotic action where spirits attack students to the beat of the upbeat opening theme. This transitions into scenes of confrontation between Nube and Tamamo, juxtaposed with Nube’s desperate attempts to shield his pupils, all set against the ending theme’s stirring melody.
